What it is

Invisalign — the plain-English version.

Invisalign uses a series of removable clear aligners to move teeth. Each tray is worn for a week or two, then traded for the next one in the series. We're a certified Invisalign provider, which means treatment planning is done in-house on a 3D scan of your teeth.

Overview

How treatment works.

  • A 3D intraoral scan — no putty trays — captures the starting bite.
  • A custom series of trays is fabricated for the planned tooth movement.
  • Each tray is worn 22 hours a day, removed only for eating and brushing.
  • Most adult cases finish in 12 – 18 months.

Is this for you

When Invisalign is the right call

  • Mild to moderate crowding or spacing.
  • Adults who want the option to remove the appliance for meetings or events.
  • Patients confident they'll wear trays the recommended hours per day.
  • Cases where the bite doesn't require the precision of fixed brackets.

The visits

What the process actually looks like.

Step-by-step, so there are no surprises at the chair.

  1. Consultation and scan

A 3D intraoral scan replaces traditional putty impressions. We review the proposed movement plan on screen before any trays are ordered.

  2. First trays

Your first few aligners arrive about three weeks after the scan. We fit them, show you the swap-out routine, and answer questions.

  3. Check-ins every 6 – 10 weeks

Short visits to monitor progress and hand off the next batch of trays. Most of treatment happens at home, between visits.

  4. Retention

A clear retainer (sometimes a Vivera) holds the result after the last tray. Worn nightly long-term.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

  • Will Invisalign work for my case?

Most mild to moderate cases are good candidates. Complex bite issues sometimes need traditional or aesthetic braces instead — we'll tell you honestly at the consultation.

  • How long do I have to wear the trays each day?

Twenty-two hours a day. Trays come out for meals and brushing only. Cases where the trays aren't worn that consistently slow down or stall.

  • Do you treat teenagers with Invisalign?

Yes — we're a certified Invisalign Teen provider. The teen version has compliance indicators and accounts for still-erupting teeth.
