Founding orthodontist.
Dr. Mendivil opened this practice in 1989 and has been here every year since. The work runs across the full orthodontic spectrum — traditional braces, aesthetic options, Invisalign — with a long-running specialty in TMJ and complex cases.
Cleft palate patients are treated under a consultative model: orthodontic continuity stays here through the multi-year journey, while surgical phases are referred to UCLA and other specialty centers. The aim is one familiar orthodontist across a long arc of care.

Practice history
37 years on the same street, by design.
Not a chain. Not a rebrand. The same family practice, deepening rather than expanding.
Opened on Bolthouse Drive.
Dr. Mendivil opened the practice in what was then a much smaller stretch of Seven Oaks. Private treatment rooms from day one.
A second generation in the chair.
Children of the practice’s first families begin to come through for their own orthodontic care. The patient roster starts to span generations.
Invisalign certification and TMJ specialty deepen.
Certification as an Invisalign and Invisalign Teen provider. TMJ caseload settles around 40 patients a year, most referred from general dentists.
37th year of continuous practice.
Same address, same private rooms, same bilingual front desk. A boutique practice, not a chain — by design.

Complex cases welcome
Roughly 40 TMJ cases a year, often referred by general dentists. Consultative orthodontic care for cleft palate continuity, with surgical phases referred to UCLA and other specialty centers.
Bilingual staff
English and Spanish throughout the practice — front desk through chair-side. No bilingual phone tree, no language fee.
Multi-generational patients
We are still treating the children of patients we first met in the late nineties. Many families are on a third generation in the chair.
